Aluminum Camp

As I look up at the skies, the clouds start to build up. I waited minutes until a low cloud was in the left and another one in front of the mountain.
Backpacking doesn't really mean I'm get away from the crowds; I want to see unique surroundings that one cannot find near the road.
Backpacking is quite a challenge; you need to have the appropriate equipment, essentials food and shelter.
There are two types of backpacking, first is you can set up a base camp and then hike without bringing all the equipment. Second method is to do a different part each day. In some other country camping is only permitted selected areas and some areas have quotas.
Here is some Backpacking Equipment
Normally I bring this equipment a sleeping bag, placed in the bottom of your bag and here is a technique on how to arrange your belongings. Light objects are placed in the bottom and top of your pack, heaviest on the center.
Tent: good for 2 persons. This is enough for you and your equipments inside the tent.
Sleeping bag: with ground cloth at the bottom to protect from sharp objects
Sleeping pad: Choose the 3/4 length
Jacket: Wind resistance and waterproof
Underwear: top and bottom
Pants: not the jeans because of its weigh. Exercise tights or lightweight shelled pants
Shirt: Use long-sleeve silkweight and not the cotton t-shirts
Stove
Mess kit
Water filter: one used by the US Marine
Food: fast-cooking foods such as parboiled rice, mashed potatoes, etc. I often eat high-calorie cookies for my snacks
Lighting: Bring the single aluminum candle lantern and a double A flashlight
Mosquito repellent
Photography Equipment you need the following:
Now figure the photo equipment. To select the correct equipment, you need to know what to expect to shoot. If you're going to pack up to the high mountains, expect panoramas. If you expect to shoot flowers, you might opt for a view camera. Here's the equipment I've brought on four trips over the past month.
Lens: Normally a wide angle and normal lens will be enough. Other stuff includes filters and light meter
Tripod (check my previous article about handling and choosing the tripod)
Memory Card
Camera Batteries
If you see something excellent scene for photography, then shoot it, rather than saving it at the end of your trip, because on your way home you will be thinking on having a shower, and eating a your meal.

Camping Trailer Leaky Roof Question?
Our camper roof has leaked & caused interior damage. We want to repair it but when I looked for repair products I found several for different types of roofs. So how do I figure out what type or roof do I have? Rubber or aluminum? There is a silver looking coating on top and many cracks in the coating. Also, is ther an easier way to repair the rotted out wood inside than replacing the wood, can I just patch the area with a wood filler?
Mary in the tiny village of Onsted, Michigan
As already mentioned, you probably have a metal roof with an asphalt coating on it.
If the panneling on the inside of the camper is rotten, then you probably have some of the structural wood rotten also. It will be a job, but I'd take down the rotten part of the ceiling and check for rotten structure. If there is rot there, then make the necessary repairs or replacements now bofore re-sealing the roof. If you re-seal the roof before you make the repairs, you could cause leaks again when doing the repairs.
Once you have repaired the structure, if needed, then you can re-seal the roof using several roof coatings. Some good ones were already mentioned in previous answers and most can be purchased at any Home Improvement store or Hardware store.
Another option is to have a rubber roof put on your camper then you should never have to worry about sealing the roof. That is if the rubber is properly installed and sealed. Rubber will cost more than the roll-on coatings but you don't have to re-coat the roof as you need to do with the other products.
Many roofing contractors have the abilities to put a rubber roof on a camper. You can also go to a camper dealer to have it done. This could also be a DYI project, but getting proper seal areounf sky-lights and any other objects needs more than "shade-tree" knowledge to ensure that there will be no more leaks. Again you can usually buy the materials you need for a rubber roof at most Home Improvement centers (Menard's for sure carries this product in stock).
Hope that this helps you with your question.
