what is the best bivy tent?
I'm looking to buy a new bivy tent and am unsure of which one to go for. I'm looking for something light, one man, and, if possible, something with a window or something to see out of. I have a budget of about £100, give or take about £10. Any suggestions?

A true bivy is just a breathable, weatherproof shell for your sleeping bag. The ones I know of that have a raised mesh window area are a bit above your price range (around $200-300 USD).
Eurkea makes some minimalist 1-person tents that come in just over 3 lbs with fly that run in the US$ 70-90 range. I've owned an Eureka Backcountry 2 for over 15 years and between my oldest son and myself have spent over a year in it, and it is still my go-to tent when traveling with two people, so the quality should be just as good on the smaller versions. I like the Backcountry 1 because it is free-standing, although at a 1Lb penalty in weight.
If you really want to go light, and your main concern is rain/snow protection and not bug/wind, a Sil-Nylon tarp is a much better choice, weighing under 10oz (280g) for 6x8 foot version at a cost of under US$60. Use some tether cord or paracord to tie off on nearby trees, use hiking sticks or down branches to make poles.
Or even better, a Sil-Nylon Tarp/Poncho such as from Sea-To-Summit or Equinox is an extended-length poncho that can cover you and your backpack while on the move, then open into a 5x8.5 foot tarp for sleeping, and weighs-in at 13oz (367g). This is generally all I bring for summer and fall backpacking.
