Bottle Blue
The Fourth Of July is right around the corner. Why not take this Flag Cake Idea and make something sweet. It isn't difficult at all.
Just bake a 9 x 13 cake. Flour the pan good to take out the cake. After it is baked, remove it from the pan and yes freeze it.
After it is solid, ice the whole thing with a white icing. Now the tricky part. You need another tub of icing. Make a red and blue icing. You should buy the red food color paste from wilton or a bottle of deep red food coloring. It will take alot to make red. You will get pink if you just use the regular food coloring.
Now a flag starts with red and ends in red so make the 13 strips with a toothpick. Don't forget the blue squire It will be 7 stripes down for the blue square and about 1/3 the length of the cake. Back to the stripes, Fill in every other one with red coloring Starting and ending with red.
Now fill the square in with blue. Usually you can get a dark blue with regular food coloring. This is a simple flag cake idea so here goes the hardest part.
Find a flag to look at and get a bottle of the star confetti candies. Count out 50 white They come in red, white and blue as far as I have seen. If you get lucky there will be 50 white to the bottle. Look at the flag for placement. Use a kid to do this if you can as they are tiny.
I know this is an easy flag cake idea but it will be remembered and who doesn't enjoy a cake to make a soldier proud.
This would be a neat project to teach a young child about the flag. You easily remember it has 13 stripes and 50 stars if you have to create them.

What's this drink in a blue bottle?
I've seen some people around drinking something that comes in a dark-blue glass bottle with a screw-off lid. The name starts with S and is written in cursive, and I'm pretty sure it's not alcohol. I've looked for it in a couple stores but I can't find anything that comes close. Does anyone have any ideas? I appreciate your help <3
