What is the difference between a 'coated' and 'non-coated' UV lens filter?
I'm looking at buying camera lens filter for my lens.
I want to know the difference between a 'coated' and 'non-coated' one.
I realize that a non-coated one is cheaper.
Please explain.

coatings typically cut the extaneous light flare out of a lens. Coated lenses are always preferred over non coated.
