These crown molding kits can be painted and it's best to employ a plastic primer before you paint with consistent paint. With the kit sets because they have adhesive backs, you must test it first before peeling off the backing and follow the arrows.
These are some suggestions to get a good fit:
If the molding has motifs, then find the middle of the recurring design.
Pre-fit from the middle of the main wall. Start from the middle and aim towards the corners.
Symmetrical corners will give it an even appearance.
If the design doesn't fit precisely, make cuts at the middle of a repeated pattern.
Employ a shaving rasp for small alterations.
Cut and fit all parts for the area before installing.

Magic kit/set for child's birthday party?
Hello,
I have been asked to do a magic show for my niece's first birthday party. There will be kids from newborns to 6 years old or so. I used to do magic tricks when I was younger, which is why I have been asked to do this, but those were smaller, up-close, slight-of-hand sorta tricks (i.e. card tricks). What is going to capture their attention is larger, colorful tricks with props and such, however since this is most likely a one-time thing, I don't want to invest much time/money into this.
So, my question is this: Does anybody have any suggestions for any magic trick kits/sets that I could purchase (perhaps online) for this purpose (i.e. an "all-in-one" set that is not too expensive and has a few "flashy" tricks that would keep the kids enterained)? If so, please let me know, I would be very grateful.
