The RS300X heart rate monitor is another good example of why Polar has established itself as the industry standard for monitoring exercise performance. The tracking of calories burned during one exercise session and the total calories burned during a longer period, helps in reaching short term and long term goals.
The manual that accompanies the RS300X is a little difficult to follow, particularly if you are unfamiliar with heart rate monitors. However, use of the watch is largely intuitive, and learning it's basic functions is not difficult.

What's the difference between a laser light and the light from flashlight?

Mainly, laser light is coherent, but light from a flashlight isn't. Coherence means that all the light from a laser are 'in phase', that is, if u take a cross section at some distance from the source, the electric field direction and magnitude is the same everywhere at that section.
Secondly, laser light usually has a select group of wavelengths alone (eg., Ar ion laser is mainly tuned to get 488 nm light), but flashlights, which are usually incandescent sources, emit a continuous range of wavelengths.
Thirdly, laser light souces can be made to produce light of very high intensity whereas flash lights use parabolic reflectors to give a reasonable collimation, but nowhere near that of lasers.
