Are there any well known designer goods made in the USA?
I'm appalled at the high prices of so many designer goods, which are made in third world countries. I'm not interested in imported Italian goods. I'd like to find a brand that is made in the USA.
I did not mean that Italy is a third world country. I just prefer to seek out American made goods for the sake of the economy and that the things I buy are not made by children. It disgusts me that many American designers don't even employee American seamstresses. The fine clothes most women are paying such high prices for are made in sweatshops for pennies on the dollar. I can no longer conscionably wear anything that might have even been made by a child. I don't mind what tag is on the clothes either. I'm not too proud to shop at discount department stores, but I've yet to find anything American made in any of them.
