Overpack on Food - Sometimes you get caught up in the wilderness and feel compelled to stay an extra night or two. But if that happens and you start to run short on food, you probably won't be able to pick up some flax crackers to snack on at the nearest trading post. It's always smarter to pack a just a little bit more than you have to when going gluten free camping.
Pack Your Food Well - How you store you food is just as important as what foods you choose. Make certain to store you foods tightly in a protective cooler that can easily survive rough weather. To make things a lot easier on your camping trip, you can get some fantastic pre made food packs.
Get Plenty of Snacks - A bit mistake when camping is to just plant for the big meals, and ignore the fact that you will probably be hungry for snacks to recharge form those long hiking trips. Great options include eggs, fruit, potato chips, cheese wedges, nuts and dried fruit, and beef jerky. Beer jerky is especially great because it gives you a shot of protein, it stores well, and its is completely gluten free. Remember to keep a couple snacks on your person whenever you leave the main camp for any reason, just in case.
Don't Forget Great Recipes - Half the fun of camping is cooking under an open sky. For breakfast, you could cook up some rice cakes with sunflower seed butter, for lunch, you could have some cheesy grits and bacon, and for dinner you might try something a little more hardy and filling, such as gluten free grilled pork loin and sweet potatoes. If you add a little ginger and garlic to the pork, it can be a delicious and filling meal for your camping trip. There are plenty of great gluten free camping recipes to be found if you look for them.
Think About Tents - Which net you get will depend upon what season you are camping, how many people are camping, and what the weather conditions are like at the camp site. It is best to educate yourself about the variety of tents available before you head off. If you just grab that dusty old tent that you might have stored over in the attic, you might just find yourself shivering and cramped throughout your entire camping trip.

Okay so I'm probably famous on here now for all my army bag questions. For those that haven't come across any of my posts:
I'm in the market for a military backpack. I've been looking far and wide for what the troops are using at the moment but haven't found any exactly matches. Anyway, this is the last post I'll be making on this subject so have at it, please. Help me find something!

Soldiers are using all of these products, because most of them are not issue items. That means that they are not issued but are items that comply with uniform standards which soldiers buy on their own to make life easier. Duffel bags and Rucksacks are issue items, but (at least in the Army) they don't issue ACU/digital Duffels or Rucks. They still issue the green ones.
You have to decide which type of bag you want. If you want to go backpacking, you want a rucksack(backpack with a frame). If you want a large bag to use as check luggage on a plane or something, then you want a duffel bag.
As for regular backpacks Bugout products are sold in the PXs, but it seems like some of these sites are charging way too much for them. Also, check out camelbak gear. Camelbak products are wildly popular bc they hold water and have a convenient drinking system which is pretty handy in hot environments.
Bottom line: buy the cheapest one- probably something in the 40 to 50 dollar range- unless you want a rucksack or a duffel which will probably be much larger than you want. If you want a camelbak backpack it will probably cost you more.
