Radio Flashlight
The Nokia E72 Silver is an emphatically designed and functional handset. Comprehensive functionality is combined with effective design which allows for quick and effective action when the need arises. The phone offers smart phone capabilities as well as a full QWERTY keyboard and thus ensures its ability to perform tasks efficiently.
The phone utilises the ARM 11 600 MHz central processing unit as well as the Symbian 9.3 operating system, which is series 60 version 3.2. These elements are critical to the abilities and capabilities of this phone and serve it well. An internal memory storage capability of 250 MB is provided with this handset with the ability to hot swap SD memory cards up to 16 GB by utilising the integrated microSD card slot.
The phone comes with a wide variety of connectivity options as well as satellite navigation capabilities through its GPS function. The GPS feature comes with A-GPS support and Nokia maps version 3.0. The phone also provides GPRS and EDGE connectivity both of which are class 32, as well as Bluetooth and micro USB. Internet access is provided at a fast speed of up to 10.2 Mbps via its HSDPA connection, whilst the Wi Fi feature provides the ability to access nationally available hotspots.
The phone has an impressive 2.3 inch TFT display screen which takes up half of the face, whilst the bottom half is taken up by the full QWERTY keyboard and a five way scroll key. In addition to these elements, an optical track pad is provided. Ring and vibration alert types are included as well as the ability to download polyphonic, monophonic and MP3 ringtones. A speakerphone that allows hands-free communication as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphone connectivity is also included.
The phone offers a variety of means of taking both static and moving imagery, by virtue of its 5.0 megapixel camera which comes with autofocus and an LED flash for illumination. The camera operates at a pixel resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and also doubles up as a VGA video capture device which operates at 15 frames per second. A secondary camera is provided which offers VGA video call capabilities, which has grown in popularity significantly in recent years.
The Nokia E72 Silver is one of a range of colours that are available for this particular handset, which includes Zodium black, Metal grey and Topaz brown. The unit also comes with an MP4/MP3 player, stereo radio, document editor, organiser and flashlight version 3.
