Saw Survival

When Brenna rushed off to college, I never thought too much about a Survival Kit, sheÂ’d been cooking for nearly ten years. But then I visited the Dorms and saw the kitchen where the kids cook their food. If they donÂ’t make it to the Cafeteria during specified hours they are on their own, and it isnÂ’t always healthy.
So, I put together a suggestion box, and staples kit for College Survival.
As a Home School Parent, my goal is to teach my children to survive anywhere and to THRIVE wherever they go. Healthy food is a requirement for survival, and this Survival Pack can take you to college and beyond.
Things to always have on hand are cheap pantry fillers and come in handy almost every day, but especially when youÂ’re alone at college and too tired to cook.
Ramen Noodles, canned tomatoes, canned chicken, dried vegetable flakes, and a selection of seasonings that shelf well are essential to this diet.
Ramen noodles are cheap, you can buy a case for a couple of bucks. Canned chicken will cost you a bit, but it lasts forever. Dried veggie flakes and seasonings you can buy or make your own, or request these from home (MomÂ’s are still your best resource). Canned tomatoes are easy to come by and easy to store, just keep them in the bottom of your closet in the Survival Pack.
This easy recipe can be prepared in your microwave and thereÂ’s enough you might even want to share with a friend.
Heat a bowl of water and add a packet of ramen noodles slightly broken up. Heat about 3 minutes until noodles are tender done. Drain.
Toss in a handful of dried veggies, drain a can of chicken, add the chicken, add a can of tomatoes, stir it up and heat 5 minutes until piping hot. Season lightly to taste and serve with garlic flavored crackers (yes, that junk food does come in handy as a side dish).
This dish has found its way to our company table as a casserole - just top with cheese.

What are the chances of survival for a child that falls from 100 feet?
I saw a movie about a child from Greenland, and I heard in my workplace about an accident.
The probability is about 1% under optimal conditions. One of the best circumstances is falling into a warm body of deep water, where about 1% of people will survive a 100' fall. Falling into a haystack or billowy tree also provides considerable cushioning. Falling onto rocks or pavement, on the other hand, will be nearly 100% fatal. There are a few individuals who have unbreakable bones, and seem to be able to survive long falls at nearly terminal velocity with relatively little damage to their organs. However, this phenomenon is so rare that most reports may be apocryphal.
The WHO estimates (2002) that 392,000 people die in falls every year. In 1972, Vesna Vulović survived a fall from 33,000 feet without a parachute. Falls are the second leading cause of work-related death in the U.S. In 2000, 717 workers died of injuries caused by falls from ladders, scaffolds, buildings, or other elevations.
Surviving a fall from a high point, such as 100', requires not injuring one's head or pelvis.
