if i left water in my sigg water bottle for a year, will denture tablets be enough to clean it?
I read on E-How that you can use denture tablets to clean water bottles...do you think this will be enough if water's been sitting in there a year, or should I do something more drastic? (Boil it?)

Well, I'm assuming there's a ton of mold colonies on the inside of the bottle? If that's the case, then this is going to be a hardcore cleaning job. If not, a little soap and water should be fine.
Now, if it did mold up and all, like it would/should in a year of sitting, make sure you do a REALLY good job washing it In fact, this is the one time I'd say shell out the extra bucks and get the cleaning tablets from amazon. Half an hour with those and the thing will be clean and sanitized. I'd probably go ahead and make a concentrated tablet bath for the lid and lip area. Just put enough water to full be able to soak both the afflicted areas, and leave them in for a half hour too. Wash everything a couple times. when your done.
Alternatively, you could use a really concentrated bleach solution or maybe vinegar and baking soda. Use the same methods as before, completely submerge, and be generous with the bleach...like say 5 capfuls for the little container your going to put your sigg in.
Just use your own judgment you'll be fine. Let it fully dry, and then maybe wash it a couple times to be safe. An old toothbrush might help areas between the lip and neck.
Haha hope I've rambled enough I was just thinking back to finding my camelbak full of beer for who knows how long..=( YUK!
