Good holographic sight for an AK?
Can anyone recommend a decent holo sight to put on an AK47? It needs to be rugged and handle the weapon's recoil. I heard EOTech is good, however, I don't wanna pay $ 400 for a holo sight.
Get one of the older Aimpoints, like an M2 or the like. They can be had in the $200.00 range, and are far and away better sights than anything you will ever see on an "airsoft"(LOL) site.
Do not buy anything with a plastic housing to put on an AK, because mounting it on an Ultimak gas tube rail will melt it inside of 200 rounds due to the intense heat generated by the gas system. Also, cheap red dots will throw their zero all over the place under recoil, so don't even bother with cheap knockoffs.
Buy a used older model of a high quality red dot and call it good.
