Tent Lightweight
There are different seasons tents out there and you should look at the one you are wanting to buy to see what it is. If you buy a inexpensive one & you want it to last for 3 season it might not be rated for that. Make sure what you are getting is the one you want. So what is a 2 season?
· Two-Season:
Generally very inexpensive typically "fair weather" or summer tents

Where do I buy a waterproof and breathable, lightweight, inexpensive fabric for camping?
I'm currently attempting to build a 24 foot dome for camping and I'm having trouble locating reasonably priced, waterproof/breathable fabric to use for the covering. I'm also open to using something like a parachute, but I don't know if they're waterproof. Buying material and waterproofing it later would also be ok, but the material would need to remain breathable. So my main question is; what type of lightweight, waterproof, breathable, and relatively inexpensive materials can I use for constructing a moderately large dome tent? Where can I purchase the material at? And, how can I make a suitable substitute?
Take a look at the fabric sources on http://specialtyoutdoors.com website. 24 ft is a huge tent by camping standards... what are you intending to use for structure? The fabric needs to be under tension or the tent collapses as it rains.
Waterproof and breathable tend to be opposites as far as fabric is concerned -- it's why most tents have the tent walls of breathable fabric, and then a rain fly over it.
