What's in your emergency survival kits? The kit in your car probably includes blankets, water, and non-perishable food. Your hiking kit might contain a compass and whistle as well. Lost
Robert, a law enforcement official, was enjoying a two-hour hike in New Hampshire with his son's Boy Scout troop until unforeseen delays and obstacles threw them off course. The sun set, the temperature dropped, and snow began to fall. The trail was soon lost as markers were covered by the rising snow. Everyone was cold, tired, and wet. After finding shelter in the form of a cabin, the three troop leaders began retracing their steps-no easy task in dark, snowy conditions. Fortunately, the LED flashlight that Robert had pocketed almost as an afterthought helped lead the troop to safety by illuminating their footprints in the snow. Robert wryly remembers: "One of the adults lugged a 3 D-cell light up the hill only to find out it was dead."

This final scenario, admittedly, is one most people are not likely to encounter, but this true tale is compelling nonetheless, and certainly applicable to more than just parachutes.

MEN....what would you like?
Hello. I work at a coal power plant. I work in the safety department and we are having a safety fair. I have to pick out some good door prizes. The plants is mainly men, about 90%.
I can have one gift of about $150, four or five at about $75, and then however many I can think of $50 and cheaper.
So, men, what kind of gifts would you like? I have to be able to convince my boss they are related somehow to safety!
Last year we gave away a GPS, some flashlights, a tool kit....
Add: We have about 250 employees. We give away prizes to the safety person of the month every month. These prizes will be given out during outage. We have a day just to remind people to work safe during outage, and we give out prizes!
Sorry...I forgot to mention. No gift cards. The company just isn't willing to do that because it is a hassle. We have to fill out papers, send them in, etc etc etc. It is a long process with gift cards! Thanks though!
