Can I carry the signals from a set top box and an over the air antenna over a single strand of coax?
I have a single strand of coax running from a set top box through my attic to a second TV. Can I use splitters or diplexers to also send signals from an over the air antenna back down the coax at the same time? I'm trying to not have to run a second strand of coax.
If it can be done - how do I do it?
If the signal from the STB is on ch. 3 or 4 and you limit the OTA to UHF where most or all of the OTA HDTV is, or will be, then there shouldn't be a problem. If you want to bring the OTA VHF down the same cable, then there will be a problem.
