The bottom line on brush tees is they cut down on friction. With a conventional golf tee when you strike the ball it pushing the ball down into the tee before it takes off causing friction. Any electrical engineer type gurus?
I have a streamlight ultra stinger flashlight. I would like to try to convert it to an LED light. I want the brightest LED i can find. I'm assuming I need a resister also but I'm not sure which one. The rechargeble battery says its for 3.6V and 6V models so I'm not sure which it is. (the battery is 5 cells each about the size of a C battery) if that helps. I will get it to fit if someone can help me with which components to get. Thanks

Okay, googling on your flashlight shows it to be the 6 volt model, which puts out 75,000 candlepower with a Xenon-halogen gas-filled bi-pin bulb. Not going to come close with LED's!!! So, to convert it to LED's you're going to have to measure how much space we've got to put the LED's in, allowing for a resistor for each LED. The resistor will keep the LED within it's current handling range.
Rechargeable C cell batteries have 'about' 6.5 amp/hours they can store. The most powerful LED that mouser sells will consume 1.2 watts of power. Your flashlight provides about 39 watts, we'll have to throw away about 58% because of the resistors. All this brings us to the ? of: How long do you want it to stay on??? This will determine the number of LED's, limited by the space to put them in!
So, what is the diameter of the lens and at what angle does it converge to the bulb???

Note: LED's were invented to conserve power whereas tungsten filaments use the more 'brute force' approach.
radian64 is about right with the 1 watt and 10 ohms; resistor dissipation will about 1.225 watts (hot) and we're running out of LED room with 1 watters!
