Walking Stick
There is a very long history of walking sticks in human civilizations. Probably the first time anybody ever used a cane was back in the depths of pre-history, when hunter/gatherer tribes wandered the landscape, searching for food and shelter. They could wander for hundreds of miles in any given year, and that much walking would be hard on a human body-they would have surely discovered that using a thick, heavy stick to hold the weight relieves pressure on muscles, especially in the back and the legs. Walking sticks may have morphed through the centuries that followed, to include large staffs, or herding rods, or any other number of things like canes. That's because, regardless of the context or the material available, large pieces of wood used for walking were clearly a good idea for people. These sticks are often multi-functional, fulfilling a wide variety of purposes and uses, even though they remain true to their original intention. A cane can herd animals. It can help ford rivers. It can be an item used in self-defense. The possibilities are wide, and that's why you will see all different sorts of aids used throughout history.
Currently, most people think of walking sticks as akin to what we know as Irish English walking sticks. These specific sorts gained popularity in the fifteenth centuries, and were used primarily as weapons. They are made from heavy, knotty wood-the heavier and knottier the better! Ash, cherry, chestnut, and the like are all different types of wood used for walking sticks. Now they are used less often as weapons, though they are very good for use in self defense when hiking in the wild.
The most recent history of walking aids includes the introduction of mass produced sticks. While handcrafted walking sticks are still available through different stores and online vendors, they are most commonly available at cheaper prices because they are mass-produced instead of painstakingly crafted by hand.

Where can I find a walking stick that consists of four swords inside it?
Who makes them and where are they? The swords are hidden away in a walking stick form, usually around 5-6 ft in length. There is one sword that comes out on both ends and the middle piece is a double ended sword.
