Wave Leather
There are many different types of razors that can be used on men who are looking for a clean shaven look and a great style for their beard or mustache. This is one of the few tools that they use almost everyday and most try to keep up on. Because of this they need something that is going to last and that they can easily use.
Although the disposable razors are very common (more so then the electric types) there are some out there who still prefer to use the straight razors. Besides knowing how to clean it you must also be able to know how to sharpen it. This is an easy process that requires only two tools; the honing stone and leather strap. You can find these at a barber shop or online.
What To Do
Set the honing stone down and place the blade on the flat side. Make sure that the edges and the back are touching the stone. Push it across it in a diagonal manner with the edges pushing forward. When you are finished one side you can move to the next.
Once you have finished with both sides and fully sharpened the razor you will need to smooth it off. Use the leather strap and make the same motions as you did with the stone. This piece is also used to clean the blades in between uses and helps to keep it smooth.
